Triopetra Beach
Triopetra beach is one of the largest and most beautiful sandy beaches of Crete.
The beach of Triopetra, with its main characteristic of the three impressive rocks that emerge from the blue sea, consists of two beaches: Megali Triopetra to the west and Mikri Triopetra to the east. It is essentially a beach divided into two coves from the small peninsula that ends up in the three imposing rocks. It’s name is due to these three rocks, with its impressive geological formations. Next to them is a wonderful, large cave, which you can visit and enjoy its shade. It has sand, crystal clear waters and enchanting sunsets, ideal for quiet, relaxing and secluded vacations.
Triopetra consists of two beaches, which are separated by a small peninsula. At the edge of the peninsula, in the sea, three majestic rocks rise. Triopetra is named after these rocks, since it means “Three Rocks”.
